School News

We had a a great S48 Diocese inspection.

"The school has an outstanding capacity for sustained improvement due to the vision and passion of the Headteacher and the shared drive for improvement of leaders, managers and staff."

Quote from pupil,

"Little community that can achieve big things."

The PFA are hosting a coffee morning on Saturday 21 May at the Marchesi centre from 10 am till 12 noon. It's to raise funds for the school and the on-going projects. If there are any ladies in the parish who would be willing to make a cake for the cake sale at the coffee morning please let Simone Backhouse know on 45117 before the event. If you are free please come along to support the school.

St Cuthbert's School have become a member of the Town Twinning Association. German band will be visiting the town and be performing after evening mass on Sunday 15th May. The concert will start at 7.30 pm and finish at 9 pm, if you would like more information please contact Jenny Borer on 44995. The children at school have been bought 12 glockenspiels so that they can play a piece of music with the Blassergruppe from Diessen when they visit the school on Monday 16th May. The funding for the instruments was generously donated by the PFA and Windermere town council.

Our Lady & St Herbert Church is open daily for private devotions and visits to the Blessed Sacrament. Please call in!

A huge welcome to you all.  Our church is a very busy and well attended church which opens its doors to all members of our community and visitors from across the UK and around the world.  It is always such a pleasure to see visitor's faces again when they return to our beautiful area.
